Vacation Policy

All vacation requests should first be discussed with your supervisor. Managers will make every effort to accommodate vacation requests, however, it may not always be possible because of the business needs of the organization or departmental coverage. Once verbal approval has been given, the employee must enter the vacation request into UltiPro/UKG. Employees taking a vacation day on a day when the office closes early should submit a full day of vacation time for that day.

Employees are permitted to carryover no more than 40 hours of vacation time at the end of the calendar year. Carryover time is tracked “off the books” or outside of UltiPro/UKG. It is the responsibility of the employee to track any carryover time and usage with their manager. Carryover time is not paid out should you separate employment from Pri-Med.

Note to New Hires: Vacation time will start to accrue on the first of the month following your Date of Hire.

Vacation accrual is based on a calendar year (Jan 1 – Dec 31) and years of service, with time allocated monthly and measured in hours. Employees’ vacation time adjusts on the first month after a service tier is reached, according to their original hire date. To earn monthly vacation time, employees must be actively working and paid. Part-time, benefit-eligible employees receive prorated vacation based on their weekly hours.
